Hey! So Glad You're Here.
I am a low key blogger, and baker, who lives in Indiana, and I am honored that you took the time to hear about me and how my blog originated. I never really considered myself a writer, or author for that matter. I am incredibly passionate about having hope, and finding reason, though. It is in that passion, I think, my blog came to be. There were two moments in my life that really drove the decision to begin this writing journey.

The first moment was back at Church Camp maybe 16-17 years ago. The leaders set up these mail boxes where you could exchange notes and letters. The intention was great, but if I remember correctly, no one really used them. However, one of the leaders, Becky, left me a note. I can't remember what it had said verbatim, but I remember this part.
"You are quiet, but powerful..."

I never thought much of it until lately after I encountered the second moment. It took place at my most recent place of work. I was having a brief discussion with a coworker about the way we talk about ourselves. It started out by her saying she knows she will never make a million dollars. I asked her why she thought she would never make a million dollars. She couldn't really answer. I told her if she has already made up her mind that she will never make a million dollars, then she will never make a million dollars. After a little more light chit chat, she looked at me and genuinely said "You should be a motivational speaker at churches, man". I laughed that one off because I got stuck on "churches", but after a few days, I found that that statement was resonating with me. I knew in that moment I had made some kind of impact.

Shortly after another light conversation with another friend, about the aforementioned conversation, and her telling me to absolutely go for it because said coworker was right, I could not pull away from the idea to begin this blog. And now, you sit here reading this "about me" section on my website because I finally came to understand that statement Becky made in that short note at Church camp.

I hope these quick reads can become a moment for you as well. If I can create a moment for you, then I have succeeded.
