When It Rains

Will this rain ever clear?
Will the clouds roll away so we can see light?
Until this day, we hide away
Until this day, we only write
The skies pour upon us
And why we ask
The thunder shakes the earth
We wear our mask
Darkness is around us
It is heavier than it seems
The sun hides from plain sight
We are hungry for it’s beams
Time goes on without our permission
The rain just keep falling
Puddles surround us
Clearity today is our heart’s very calling
Afraid to see what tomorrow brings
Stuck in the rain today
Feeling drenched in resentment
Please please clear away
The rain it pours
Flooding our grounds
Torrential downpour
Waterfalls from crowns
Will this rain ever clear?
Will the clouds clear away?
Will the light finally shine?
Will we finally live a day?
